How NFC Review Software Can Grow Your Service Business
- Joe Guevara
Any business, but especially service & sales-centric business, need 2 things to really scale: a solid reputation, and easy/cost-effective ways to grow leads. As entrepreneurs and business owners, we understand the significance of fostering meaningful interactions and maintaining a stellar online reputation. That's where we developed Adaptix – a solution that integrates NFC and QR Code to make it absolutely simple to do those 2 things, get more leads and get more 5-star reviews, at the same time while saving you money.
The Power of Google Review NFC Card: Simplifying Feedback Collection & Triggering Reviews
Many business owners I've spoken with from retailers, restaurants, real estate agents, to field trades workers - all struggle with the review dance. Figuring out the best time to ask for reviews is already a challenge, but making it EASY for your customers to leave you a 5-star review is a whole other story.
That's where old Google Review NFC Cards came in. With a simple tap of a card when your customer has already said that they're happy with the service, you can bring them directly to your review page in one tap, and with 2 more taps - leave you a 5-star review and even a testimonial. Reputation management in one action, and some even use integrated solutions like NiceJob to manage these in real time or our our Rehash Review Management service.
However, a problem with this process is that it's expensive - one of these cards costs anywhere from $50-$80 a piece. Not to mention they can't be changed - I had a client have issues with one of their location's Google MyBusiness account and while they had other locations that could be reviewed, it rendered the card useless. Not to mention, sales & tech workers already have multiple things they need to manage like business cards, lead forms, and more.
That's why we put all of these technologies into one and created a platform that makes them useful for as long as you have the card: Adaptix. With our cards, you have 3 different actions you can take - 1 NFC tap and 2 QR Codes. Even after printing, you can change what each of these do through our unique technology. Our most common is Tap for Review or Virtual Business Card, 1 QR Code for a lead generation form, and 1 QR code for a general website link or the other link
Steps to Using the Adaptix Review NFC/QR Card or Devices
1. Setting up your Google Business Profile
Before diving into NFC card deployment, ensure you have an active Google My Business account. This platform serves as the hub for collecting and displaying your reviews. If you're not already registered, visit the Google My Business website to create an account and complete the setup process.
2. Edit your Adaptix Nodes (NFC or QR Codes)
Once your Google My Business account is up and running, it's time to link your NFC or QR nodes to your review page. Just go to the Adaptix website and find the node related to either the NFC or QR function you want to change to the link provided by Google.
3. Strategic Placement of the NFC & QR Card or Stand:
We have a few different form factors for these review & business cards. If you're in person, our NFC Business Cards are the best. After finishing a job and asking for feedback, if they're willing to commit to giving you a 5-star review - simply bring your card to their phone to get them straight to your Google Review page with a single tap.
If you're making a sale, need to collect lead information from a referral, or simply need to give the person your contact information - you can use the Adaptix QR codes on your card to do each of those actions and change them whenever you wish.
Alternatively, if you're a retailer or have an office space like a health & wellness business, placing one of the stands (pictured below) that you can customize with your own branding can passively prompt your clients to leave you a review; as well as even automate your intake process and move from basic QR Codes to both NFC Tap and QR Scanning actions to easily fill out your intake forms.
4. Educating Your Staff & Encourage The Importance of Reviews:
Ensure your staff is well-versed in the importance of Google reviews and understands how the NFC card functions. They should be ready to encourage customers to leave reviews and provide assistance if needed. Ask for feedback, if positive, ask for the review and present the card.
Develop a culture of review engagement within your business. Whether through verbal prompts from your staff or subtle reminders on receipts and signage, encourage customers to share their experiences. Remember, politeness and non-intrusiveness are key. Some even go as far as to incentivize reviews that have testimonials with their clients.
5. Active Review Management:
Respond promptly to the reviews you receive, both positive and negative. This demonstrates your commitment to customer feedback and encourages further engagement from your audience. Remember, reviews are not enough - respond to them actively & make sure to have a publicly professional and tone however bad or untrue the review gets. Simply present facts; and negative reviews can actually work in your favor.
Regularly monitor your Google My Business account to track new reviews and overall ratings. Analyzing this feedback provides valuable insights into customer satisfaction levels and areas for improvement.
Benefits for Businesses: Enhancing Connectivity and Customer Engagement

FAQs: Navigating NFC and QR Code Technology
Q: What is NFC technology, and how does it work?
A: NFC (Near Field Communication) enables wireless communication between devices over a short distance, typically a few centimeters. It facilitates quick data exchange between compatible devices, making it ideal for tasks like contactless payments, information sharing, and, in our case, review collection.
Q: How do NFC and QR Code technologies differ?
A: While both NFC and QR Code technologies facilitate data transfer, they operate differently. NFC requires close proximity for communication and is often used for contactless payments or access control. In contrast, QR Codes can be scanned from a distance using a smartphone camera and are commonly employed for tasks like website access, product information retrieval, or, in our case, review collection.
Q: Can I use Adaptix's NFC technology if my customers don't have NFC-enabled smartphones?
A: Absolutely! Adaptix's NFC cards come equipped with an additional QR Code option, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. Customers can simply scan the QR Code with their smartphone camera to access your review page, making it accessible to all customers regardless of their device capabilities.
Adaptix empowers businesses across various industries to streamline their interactions, enhance customer engagement, and cultivate a positive online reputation.
